I got my first goat when I was 14. I named him Tucker. I spent all my free time with him taking care of him, training him, and showing him. We got 3rd place in the country fair. He was an extraordinary guy; he would follow me anywhere, and we had many adventures together. I had several other show goats throughout high school, and from there, my love of goats grew. After I graduated from high school, I decided to pursue a career as a pet groomer, and I absolutely love what I do. I eventually went on to establish my own pet grooming business, which I still operate today. I then moved to the country and became involved in raising goats, this time opting for dairy goats. I started with Nigerians and Lamanchas, but over time, I transitioned to mini Lamanchas because they are easier to handle and consume less than the standard size Lamanchas, yet still possess the wonderful Lamancha traits that I adore. I recently added some mini Nubians to my herd. I had the chance to meet a herd of them and instantly felt a connection, so I decided to bring a few home. I'm really looking forward to seeing how these new girls compare to my mini Lamancha. My mini Lamancha goats will always have a very special place in my heart.
